Feben is Managing Partner and Chief Executive Officer of DELFE Design, Engineering and Construction Management PLC, with headquarters in Addis Abeba, Ethiopia. After 18 years in the US, Feben ventured back to her home country to engage in the Construction sector and became CEO and shareholder of ETG Designers and Consultants S.C., an employee owned Architectural and Engineering firm based in Ethiopia. Feben and her team, have overseen key largescale projects including a 134 hct Masterplan and Campus Design Project, hospital projects as well as Mixed Use and Financial Sector Headquarter projects.
Feben’s extensive multi sectoral experience in the US, ranges from leadership roles in one of the top Architectural firms in San Diego, to running a marketing consulting firm where projects include leading the bid preparation for San Diego’s effort to host the 2024 Summer Olympics as well as running marketing and sponsorship strategy for an Olympic movement event with a budget of USD 65 million. Feben’s background as an economist combined with her marketing experience and passion for Architecture enables her to have an intuitive understanding on how to effectively take any client’s real estate development vision to become a feasible reality.
In addition to her professional contribution, Feben’s philanthropic efforts includes her support as the US Board Member of Imagine1Day, a non profit organization focused on providing quality education in rural Ethiopia. To date, Imagine1Day has opened 43 schools, impacting the lives of over 200,000 students and their communities. Feben has also recently joined African Humanitarian Action (AHA) as Board Trustee. Africa Humanitarian Action (AHA) is an international non- governmental organization that provides effective humanitarian relief and recovery as well as advocacy services. Founded in 1994 in response to the atrocities in Rwanda, AHA has supported over 25 million people in 20 African countries to regain their health, dignity and wellbeing. Feben is also a founding organizer of the Annual Walk for Breast Cancer, a movement in its 2nd year and which has raised over Birr 5 million for Alemtsehay Breast Cancer Foundation.
